What Forrest Frank Reveals About the Book of Revelation

I was recently in an interview I thought I was fully prepared for. Then an image popped up on the video screen behind our podcast table that genuinely shocked me — the good kind of shock, but a surprise nonetheless.

It was an image of music artist Forrest Frank and his Jesus Generation Tour. I was stunned, because in that moment I believe the Lord gave me unusual clarity about where this moment fits into the unfolding outpouring of the Holy Spirit. (I'll link that full interview at the end of this article — it's one of the best conversations I've had in a long time, mainly because the Holy Spirit so clearly led, guided, and directed the whole thing.)

The Sign Behind the Sensation

Forrest Frank is a Christian phenomenon taking the world by storm — through his unique creativity as a musician, and even more through the extraordinary pull his concerts have on the next generation.

His Jesus Generation Tour wasn't just a massive commercial success. I believe it's an end-times sign. Consider what actually happened over those two months:

  • 519,000+ people packed arenas and stadiums across a sold-out, 29-city summer run — TPR, the tour's promoter, called it simply the biggest Christian music tour in history.

  • The tour debuted at No. 5 on Pollstar's LIVE75 chart, trailing only Bad Bunny, BTS, Luke Combs, and Iron Maiden — and outranking acts like Tame Impala and comedian Shane Gillis.

  • Grammy winner Tori Kelly, Cory Asbury, and The Figs joined as supporting artists throughout the run.

  • The tour closed with more than 35,000 people at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, and drew roughly 24,000 to GEODIS Park in Nashville.

  • Evangelist JP Pokluda, who traveled with the tour preaching the gospel at every stop, reports more than 50,000 people have given their lives to Christ — with some single nights seeing as many as 5,000 respond to the invitation. In his own words: "I'm going to call it a revival."

You might be asking, "How in the world is Forrest Frank a sign of the end-times?"

Aware, Not Afraid

Walk with me here for a moment, because I want you safeguarded from hopelessness and fear — the two things people usually associate with talk of the end-times, the last days, the apocalypse.

I'm currently reading an outstanding book by Professor John Lennox called God, AI and the End of History. Lennox has become a fast hero of mine as I've watched him go toe-to-toe with some of the most popular secular voices of our day, and in the early pages, he frames the entire conversation in the context I believe we need for approaching end-times matters altogether: Revelation lives up to its name. It's an unveiling — but not primarily of coming events. It's an unveiling of a Person: Jesus Christ Himself, the Messiah, the Son of God, our Savior.

To be Frank (excuse the pun) — we need to be people who are aware of our Matthew 24 surroundings. We can't stick our heads in the sand pretending nothing is happening, and we can't live hoping to simply escape the chaos of the world. I also think it's healthy for us to be well-versed biblically in the different streams of eschatology, because I've come to believe that most of the different "theologies of the unfolding end" carry real biblical merit. Put it this way: I equally appreciate Rick Renner and N.T. Wright.

Jesus said it Himself:

"Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come." — Matthew 24:12–14 (NLT)

That's the tension we're called to hold: sobered by what's rising, but not surprised by it — because the same passage that warns us also promises that the gospel is going out to the whole world. Every one of those 50,000 decisions for Christ this summer is that promise in motion.

Bottom line: Jesus is coming back. History is moving toward His glorious appearing and full unveiling.

That said, I don't build my life on speculation about the exact sequence of events leading up to His return. I'm aware of these things. I study them. I'll occasionally glance at a chart or timeline. But here's how I've been preaching it lately: I live aware of the Matthew 24 "signs of the times," but I give my life to seeing the fulfillment of Joel 2 and Acts 2 demonstrated on the earth — the fullness of the end-time outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Where the Outpouring Comes From

So where does this outpouring come from? Not out of the heavens — Jesus is the only One yet to emerge from heaven. This outpouring is already available, already accessible, poured out and living inside you and me as Spirit-filled people:

"And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams." — Acts 2:17 (ESV)

The Forrest Frank image on that screen became another alarm clock going off, telling us what time it is: the time of the great revive, the time of the last-days outpouring, the time when King Jesus will be increasingly made manifest through a Spirit-filled Church.

Don't Miss What God Is Doing

Don't get discouraged by the chaos and the darkness. Be aware of it — but let me encourage you: let your hope rise when you see signs like the success of Forrest Frank, or the continued momentum of the college revival movement UniteUS, which is gearing up for several major auditorium gatherings this fall.

When you see Forrest Frank, celebrate that the move of the Holy Spirit is increasing and intensifying in this generation.
